• What’s the weather today?

• Can I reserve a parking spot in the parking lot of Hotel Tigaiga?

  Spots are limited. Hence, we unfortunately do not offer a reservation service. A few meters away from the entrance, there are large areas of public parking.

• Can I reserve a parking spot in the parking lot of Tigaiga Suites?

  We have several parking spots that can be reserved depending on availability and for an additional cost.

• Are pets allowed?

  No, our accommodations are not adapted to attend to the needs of guests with pets.

• Can I have the Half Board’s menu if I have only made a booking that includes breakfast?

  Yes, you only have to make a reservation in advance, directly with the maître at the Restaurant.

• I’m allergic to a specific food or product. Can you take that into account?

  Yes. You can inform us of any allergies or special diets, so that we can improve our service and guarantee you have a good stay.

• Why do I have to wear long trousers for dinner?

  For us, dinner is a special moment. We like to offer a traditional service and an elegant atmosphere. Therefore, we require wearing long trousers as part of a more formal dress code.

• Is smoking allowed?

  No. Smoking is forbidden by law, except in the designated areas - outside.

• At what altitude is the hotel located?

  100 metres above sea level.

• How long does it take to walk to the city centre?

  Between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on how many stops you make to take pictures.

• Can I book excursions and rent a car in the hotel?

  Yes, you can request this to be arranged in the reception.

• Can you arrange my transfer to the airport?

  Yes, you can request this to be done in the reception.

• Can you arrange a guided hiking tour?

  Yes, you can request it at the Reception.

• How far away is the beach?

  The nearest beach is Playa Jardín, which is 1.5 km from the hotel Tigaiga and Tigaiga Suites.

• Which is the best way to go to Teide?

  Our favourite route is to go up via La Esperanza and return via the Orotava road. This route can be done by car, and we guarantee you will enjoy beautiful views.

• Is there a medical centre nearby?

  Yes, near our facilities you will find the Vida Centro Medico and Hospitén Bellevue. You can contact the reception for information or an appointment.

• What is the temperature of the pool?

  Thanks to solar energy, its temperature is almost always above 26ºC.

• If I really like one of your dishes, can you give me the recipe?

  It is our pleasure, ask us for whatever you like. You can find the most popular recipes on our blog. You can visit it!

• What is the best time of the year to travel?

  Puerto de la Cruz is a privileged place, with a very pleasant climate all year round. Thanks to the trade winds, the temperature is usually cool. In the months of June and July a phenomenon we call "la panza de burro" (the belly of the donkey) occurs, when the clouds settle overhead, leaving a cool atmosphere free from the summer heat.

• Is there a minibar in the room of the Tigaiga Hotel?

  No, only on request. As an environmental measure, we have removed the minibars from our rooms. If you would like this service, we will be happy to attend to your request and include the products of your choice. We only charge for the products consumed. If you prefer a fridge, we can also accommodate your request, for a rental charge.

• How does tipping work?

  If you wish to leave a tip for our staff, the head of each department will be responsible for distributing the tip to the whole team.
