Tigaiga cares for the environment
Established in 1959, the Tigaiga has managed to maintain high quality service standards and modern, well kept installations resulting in overall guest satisfaction. The environmental aspects have always played a vital part in our business strategy.
Since 1995, we have developed and implemented Quality and Environmental Managements Systems that subscribe in the hotel to the directives of UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015, UNE-EN ISO14001:2015 and the European Regulation 1221/2009 EMAS, thereby proving our commitment through an audited process.

Our commitment to sustainability, on which our management at Tigaiga has focused for years, has led us to find out how maintaining the 5,200-square-meter garden helps absorb emissions from our daily work. The hotel is taking this further step, in 2021, after taking important measures to reduce CO2 emissions. Among other activities, this includes the purchase of 100% of the electricity from renewable sources or the installation of thermal solar collectors.
Today our gardens house a total of 230 trees, almost 70 more than the beds (166) of our family hotel. Of the total number of trees there are around 180 palm trees, some specimens that are already 60 years old, as these were planted by Enrique Talg Schulz at the time.
