ISO 14001 and EMAS
Our hotel is keen to be environmentally friendly and this Environmental Management and Auditing Scheme is one of the first for an hotel on the Canary Islands. The EMAS certificate is closely linked to the standards of ISO 14001.

 Since 1995 TUI has awarded the Tigaiga with the TUI Holly as one of the TOP 100 TUI hotels worldwide. The TUI Holly is a trustful label, which guaranties highest guest satisfaction scores. In 1995 our hotel was first - the best customer rated TUI hotel worldwide!

TUI Environmental Champion: Tigaiga 14 consecutive years award winner!
The tour operator TUI awards every year the "TUI Umweltpreis" to the best 100 social and environmental hotels. The Environmental Champion Award is based on an evaluation procedure relating to customer satisfaction (ref. to environmental measures of the hotel) and a checklist for environmental and social performance. In the year 2002 we received this award, presented by Dr. Michael Iwand, chairman of TUI AG UMWELT as nº 1 worldwide!.
